Pediatrics

Dr. Rosana Mejía-León graduated from the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine and completed her residency training in Pediatrics. Dr. Mejía-León has over 18 years of experience working in various pediatric settings, including outpatient clinics, inpatient acute hospital care, and critical care management. In addition, she has been providing direct care to chronically-ill pediatric patients and children with special needs for over 16 years. She also has STAT and ADOS-2 clinical training for Autism diagnosis from Vanderbilt Kennedy Center’s Treatment and Research Institute for Autism Spectrum Disorders (TRIAD) Program at Vanderbilt University in Tennessee. She is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Pediatrics of the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine.

As a mother of 4, she knows the importance of doctor/patient/parent relationships built on trust with effective communication, education, and team working. Her main goal is to promote high-quality preventive health services and create a true medical home for pediatric patients and families. This is why she fell in love with the Pravan Kid’s philosophy, which promotes quality and holistic, integrated care for children and adolescents by focusing on all aspects of health, mind, and body. These values carry on to her daily life, where she enjoys music, painting, nature photography, and spending quality time with her family.
