Medical Concierge for Act 60 Residents

Why this medical concierge clinic is the preferred destination for ACT 60 residents

There are 5 main reasons why Pravan Clinic is becoming the most popular health and wellness destination for Act 60 residents.

  1. We have board-certified doctors that are committed to treating you as a whole, not only a diagnosis.

Pravan Clinic’s focus is to establish a long-term relationship with our members where their needs and interests come before any financial interests. Our highly trained physicians aim to make you feel heard and seen with a focus on making decisions based on evidence to make sure you get adequate treatments that adjust to your lifestyle.

  2. Our state-of-the-art clinic is not only modern and elegant, but it also meets the highest US standards of care.

During the past four years, Puerto Rico has gone through Hurricane Irma, Hurricane María, and multiple earthquakes that have weakened Puerto Rico’s infrastructure. Hospitals and clinics around the island are no exception, and most of them still rely occasionally on generators as the power grid system continues to deteriorate.

Our clinic has a modern generator and cistern system to avoid interruptions in electricity and water services and has served as a peaceful oasis and place to recharge your batteries (literally!) since opening its doors. Pravan is always on 24/7.

  3. All our staff, from nurses and doctors to care coordinators and nutritionists are fully bilingual.

We’ll help you navigate the complexities of the healthcare system in Puerto Rico and communicate with Spanish-speaking external clinics and specialties on your behalf through our Care Coordination Program.

  4. We simply offer a hassle-free medical experience.

At Pravan, appointments are available the same or the next day and they start on time, which is a rarity on the island. You’ll also get access to 24/7 medical care through our HIPAA-compliant mobile app. Having care at your fingertips can reduce interruptions from your daily life. We know that sometimes your medical concerns are often resolved with a quick question that doesn’t require a face-to-face visit, and this is where our app comes in handy.

  5. Our members get direct access to our emergency physicians.

With two emergency medicine physicians, our urgent care services have become quite popular. Limit your exposure to infections that could be acquired in hospitals and notify us of your urgency through our mobile app, we’ll make sure you get proper care in a timely manner. Urgent care services are also extended to your close ones and relatives (additional fees apply).

  • Challenges in the relocation process for Act 60 residents in Puerto Rico
by Dr. Sayra González Huertas on March 15, 2022 at 4:11 pm

There are currently thousands of people relocating from the mainland to our beautiful island of Puerto Rico. Many of them have become Pravan members, and we have noticed how challenging the relocation process can be. Some people are doing better than others, so we decided to put together this blog in order to give some perspective for those going through this process.Relocating can be one of the most exhilarating decisions you ever make. Few things are more mentally and physically challenging than packing your belongings and moving to a new place. You are leaving the comfort of the familiar to engage in a new environment with its own culture and history. As you prepared for all the tearful farewells, the thrill of this new adventure was always in the background. Even as you bid your old home goodbye, you felt the rush of possibility and new beginnings. However, once the initial excitement of living in a new city wears off, gnawing feelings of doubt, uncertainty, loneliness and all the stress that come with moving can start to creep in. You might get lost trying to find your way to the supermarket or you might have difficulties communicating with an important vendor. You might find yourself really missing your favorite coffee shop and long lunches with friends. You planned every aspect of your move, except for this. Let’s talk about what to expect once you start settling into your new life.

Over the last few years we have seen a growing trend of people moving to Puerto Rico from the mainland looking for warmer weather and lower taxes. A few years ago the Puerto Rico government implemented several tax incentive decrees collectively known as Act 60, to incentive investors, business leaders and successful entrepreneurs to move to the island with their families and generate economic activity. After being in effect for a few years, there are thousands of individuals who are now Puerto Rico residents benefiting from the tax decrees.

It’s no secret that there’s been an influx of people moving to Puerto Rico from the mainland looking for warmer weather and lower taxes. The Puerto Rican government’s implementation of several tax decrees collectively known as Act 60, to incentivize investors, business leaders and successful entrepreneurs to move to the island with their families and generate economic activity, has had a very real impact on our island. With so many people moving here - and with the healthcare system becoming a major concern, there’s been a growing demand for certain needs to be met.
