Dr. Betsy Vázquez Gómez is a board-certified Family Physician, Geriatrician, and Hospice and Palliative Care specialist dedicated to providing compassionate, patient-centered care across all stages of life. She completed her medical training at the University of Puerto Rico, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude and went on to earn board certifications in both Family and Geriatric Medicine, later expanding her expertise with a fellowship in Hospice and Palliative Care at Cook County/Rush Hospital in Chicago. Her career has been marked by academic excellence, leadership, and a deep commitment to advancing care for aging populations, including recognition from the Arnold P. Gold Humanism Honor Society and an Award for Academic Excellence in Geriatric Medicine. In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. Vázquez has contributed to research at Massachusetts General Hospital and Tufts University, with several peer-reviewed publications in regenerative medicine.
